When you download Call of Duty moving forward, you wont have to download Warzone at the same time. According to a new post from Activision, the publisher has announced that it will be separating Warzone from Call of Duty games moving forward.
“To give players more control over what they’re downloading, we are decoupling the download of Call of Duty: Warzone from other titles,” Activision said. “When you purchase an annual title, you will only download the files for that game by default.”
That means if you want to download Warzone, you will have to do it as a separate download. This will not only decrease the time it takes to download Call of Duty before you can play, but will also free up prime real estate on your storage devices.

“Flexibility and choice matter,” they said. “We want to give players the choice to download each Call of Duty, including Call of Duty: Warzone, when and how they wish.”
This separation will happen starting Wednesday, August 21. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, and will be the first game in the franchise to release Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

Activision doing something good for once?
Kinda hard to say it’s a good thing when someone fixes a bad thing that they invented in the first place.
