A Sliding Bug is Causing Players to Have Horrible Aim in The Battlefield 6 Beta

A sliding bug in the Battlefield 6 Beta has been found to be causing many players to experience horrible aim.

Have you been experiencing horrible aim or bloom in the Battlefield 6 Beta without any explanation? Well, it’s down to sliding.

The issue was first spotted by Shroud, and subsequently investigated further by content creator Exclusive Ace, who, in his video, outlined exactly what happens and how to fix it.

The short version of what’s happening with the bug is that players who have their sliding animation interrupted or canceled will still have the calculations of sliding (bloom) assigned to the player. This means that regardless of what the player is doing, be that standing still or crouching, the calculations of sliding will still give the player bloom.

Getting out of the bug is simple: complete an uninterrupted slide, and your aim will return to normal.

It’s probably too late for the developers to fix the bug by the end of the Beta at this point, but presumably, it’s an easy fix to have done by the time the game fully launches on October 20, 2025.

The Battlefield 6 Beta officially ends in the early hours of Monday, August 18th.
