Microsoft has launched its latest feature for Xbox Cloud Gaming that allows players to stream the games they own whether they are available in the Xbox Game Pass library or not. The feature is currently available in beta and only 50 games are available to stream via the cloud at launch, but more will be added in the coming weeks and months.
If you have games on the list and want to give it a try, there are a few steps you need to take to make sure you get up and running.
How To Play Your Own Games On Xbox Cloud Gaming
First thing’s first, you need to me a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber in order to have Xbox Cloud Gaming access. Core, Standard, and PC members won’t have the ability without upgrading.
If you are a Game Pass Ultimate member, you can play your game on select devices by going through the following steps.
Xbox Cloud Gaming On Web Browser
- Using a browser like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Apple Safair, go to Xbox.com/play on your PC, phone, tablet, handheld, or other device.
- Login to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account
- Look for the “Stream Your Own Game” section
- Connect your controller
- Play
Xbox Cloud Gaming On TV or VR
- Download the Xbox app on your Samsung TV or Amazon Fire Stick; On Meta Quest, download the Xbox Cloud Gaming app
- Login to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account
- Look for the “Stream Your Own Game” section
- Connect a compatible Bluetooth controller
- Play
Xbox Cloud Gaming On Xbox Console
- Go to My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games
- To filter specific games, go to Filter > Ready to play > Cloud gaming.
- To start playing, select the game and then choose Play with Cloud Gaming.
