A new announcement reveals that an Xbox Games Showcase is arriving on June 7, 2026, followed by a Gears of War E-Day Direct.
We just had an Xbox Partner Preview event earlier this month, where players received announcements for several big games, including Stalker 2, Dispatch, Hades 2, and more. Now, they seem to be gearing up for their biggest showcase of the year, which arrives in just over 2 months.
Xbox Games Showcase 2026 and Gears of War E-Day Direct Set for June 2026
A new post on the Xbox Wire reveals that the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will premiere on June 7 at 10 am Pacific/1 pm Eastern 6 pm UK time. The event will be followed directly by a Gears of War E-Day Direct, providing players with a deep dive into the upcoming title’s new details, gameplay, and insights into the origin story. The event will include first looks at gameplay, news from first-party studios and third-party partners, and more.
Moreover, as it is the 25th anniversary of Xbox, they have decided to bring back Xbox FanFest at the showcase, where players will look back at the colourful 25 years and get a glimpse into the future. If you can’t attend the event in person, the showcase will be livestreamed in “over 40 languages, as well as American Sign Language, British Sign Language, and English Audio Descriptions.” Interested readers can tune into YouTube, Twitch, or Facebook to catch the livestream.
