Death Stranding 2 Devs Reveal New PC and PS5 Features

As Death Stranding 2’s PC release draws closer, new features, game modes, and more have been revealed for both platforms.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach’s PC release date was revealed during PlayStation’s last State of Play event, with Kojima Productions’ latest title arriving for a new platform this week. We were informed that new modes and features will be introduced for both platforms, and now we finally know what they are.

Death Stranding 2 PC Comes With ‘To the Wilder Mode’, New Training, Chriral Feline and More

Heading into the new features and modes for Death Stranding 2 on PC and PS5, the first mode to highlight is ‘To the Wilder.’ This new difficulty will push players’ porter skills to the limit in unforgiving environments filled with dangerous enemies. Once players embark on this quest, there’s no turning back. However, the rewards for completing it are significantly greater.

Sam will be able to gain new fieldware, like new bandanas, through a new VR training area called “Trapped in a Strange Realm”, which can be used to replay the fight with Neil. Players will also see the Chiral Feline visiting their private room in the DHV Magellan, and it will also be accessible through the photo mode.

Furthermore, Death Stranding 2 PC players will also have access to features like Ray Tracing on Reflections and Ambient Occlusion if they have a high-end PC. The PC version provides full integration with Nvidia’s DLSS, AMD’s FSR, and Intel’s XeSS, as well as upscaling and frame generation technologies, uncapped frame rates, and customised graphical settings. Additionally, if you want the PS5 experience, there is full DualSense controller integration with haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and Spatial Sound Support.

Interested readers can check out the PlayStation blog post for more details.

In other news, here are Death Stranding 2’s PC system requirements. Additionally, check out whether Kojima Productions has added Denuvo DRM to the title.
