Battlestate Games has just deployed a new Escape from Tarkov event that players are trying to understand. There’s a new question named ‘Bulldogs Under the Rug’, which requires users to eliminate a smuggler and find their camp, and a new 100% boss spawn rotation that has hit Reserve.
Fans of the spearhead extraction shooter have busied themselves trying to figure out what’s happening because, as always, almost no information has been given about this event.
Bulldogs Under the Rug, Apparently
With a new image posted on social media, Battlestate Games introduced a fresh Escape from Tarkov event on a random Thursday evening. That event has arrived hand-in-hand with a minor update:
- Fixed an issue that caused the character’s sideways movement to accelerate when using a certain key combination
- Fixed incorrect display of built-in armor icons when viewing body armor and rigs
The image provided by Battlestate doesn’t show much, aside from some flares scattered on a package that’s from someone called ‘Edward’, who is named as a potential smuggler in the Bulldogs Under the Rug mission, also newly added for this event.
Also on the box is a picture of the Escape from Tarkov bosses, accompanied by some Russian text and a long number:
20Q53311025
At present, nothing more is known, but knowing the Escape from Tarkov crowd and how it handled the recent invasion of ducks in Norvinsk, the case will be cracked in no time. Nothing ever stays a secret in Escape from Tarkov; that much is for sure.
Players have also noticed that they’re finding nondescript ‘Locked Case’ items, which need a key to open them. You can get the key for Locked Cases from eliminated smugglers.
We’ve also just confirmed that the event is playable in both PvP and PvE versions of Escape from Tarkov.
