When Does Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising Release?
The Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising expansion is scheduled for a worldwide release on May 22, 2026, with a pre-release weekend occurring earlier in the month.
Chaos Rising is the third Pokémon TCG set in 2026, following on from Ascended Heroes and Perfect Order, continuing the trend of showcasing Mega Evolution Pokémon that first appeared in Legends: Z-A.

The prelease event for Chaos Rising takes place on May 9, 2026, two weeks ahead of the release, at participating Pokémon Play! Stores.
While the worldwide release covers major regions, including the US, Europe, and Australia, the Japanese versions of the set have separate release dates, while China works off a unique release process.
When Are Chaos Rising Pre-Orders Available?
Pre-order dates for Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising are yet to be confirmed, and The Pokémon Company never announces in advance when the drop on the Pokémon Center Online takes place.
Securing product has become a difficult challenge for many players, with the Pokémon Center having a queue in place that limits access. Due to the high demand, no announcements are made on exactly when pre-orders go live.
However, there has been a trend in the past year or so, with pre-orders at the Pokémon Center for a new set opening just before the release of the prior set.
If that trend continues to be the case, Pokémon Center pre-orders for Chaos Rising should take place in the next few weeks ahead of the release of Perfect Order on March 27.
Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising Card List
The full card list for Chaos Rising has not been revealed, though it will primarily be comprised of cards from Japan’s Ninja Spinner and Nihil Zero sets.
Standout cards include the Mega Greninja SIR, Froakie Illustration Rare, and Rowlet Illustration Rare. However, some cards from the Japanese sets will be pulled to become promos, including those chosen for the Elite Trainer Box.

As outlined by the press release announcing Chaos Rising, the set will contain the following chase cards:
- Five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- Five Pokémon ex
- 11 illustration rare Pokémon
- 18 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards
- Six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
