What Happened to The Humans in Pokopia?

Humanity in Pokopia has left Earth following a series of cataclysmic events that significantly altered the environment and atmosphere.
Pokopia is set across various areas of Kanto, with Withered Wasteland representing Fuchsia City, Rocky Ridges representing Pewter City and Mt. Moon, Bleak Beach focusing on Vermilion City, and Sparkling Skylands showing the remains of Celadon City and Saffron City.
The environments shown in Pokopia indicate that it wasn’t just one bleak event that altered the course of the Earth, as each area faces different problems.

For example, Fuchsia City, once home to the Safari Zone, is now a blighted, barren landscape, while Pewter City is buried underneath volcanic ash. Additionally, whatever happened to Celadon City and Saffron City left the remains of the locations strangely floating among the clouds.
Team Rocket, true to their name, built the rockets that humanity used to escape. However, apart from a select few, no Pokémon were taken on the trip. It’s not specified which Pokémon were taken or how many.
Do Humans Come Back in Pokopia?
No, there are no humans that appear in Pokopia, and the entire game is filled exclusively with Pokémon.
While Professor Tangrowth repeatedly expresses his desire for humans to return, hoping that the building work and environmental revitalization completed will attract humanity to return, they do not appear in Pokopia.

Additionally, hidden pages of lore scattered across the world in Pokopia heavily suggest that humanity’s escape from Earth was a one-way trip, and there is not enough fuel for a return.
It isn’t specified how long ago humanity left for space either, so there is no telling what has happened in the years exploring the cosmos.
While Ditto’s vision shown in the credits suggests that its trainer received the rocket from the Team Initiation challenge, this could all just be the Pokémon’s imagination.
