PGL Wallachia Season 7’s playoffs are underway after the conclusion of the Swiss Stage, which saw Xtreme Gaming, Parivision, and NAVI fall narrowly short of the playoffs.
Vici Gaming, BetBoom, and Tundra joined Liquid, Spirit, Heroic, Aurora, and Yandex in the playoffs for the second PGL Wallachia of the 2025/26 DotA 2 season.
Disappointing end for fan-favourite orgs
TI 2025 runners-up, Xtreme Gaming, fell to regional rivals Vici Gaming. VG, while a legendary organisation in DotA 2, only returned to the DotA circuit in October following its departure in 2023.
The regional victory, combined with wins over OG and Falcons, shows that Vici may be a serious contender already despite their short time since returning as they look to recapture their historic success with Guo ‘Xm’ Hongcheng.
The 2-3 elimination was a disappointing follow-up for NAVI after their BLAST Dota Slam VI runners-up placement, which saw them top the Round Robin standings, in a run that included wins against MOUZ, Falcons, and Tundra, before eventually falling to Liquid in the Grand Final.
While NAVI did once again take Tundra down at Wallachia, but their run was brutally ended by BetBoom, who swept NAVI aside in two 33-minute contests.
Parivision’s mediocre start to the year continued with their elimination to Tundra. The Russian team still seems to be finding its feet following the departure of coach Filipe ‘Astini’ Astini Ribeiro and the installation of Clement ‘Puppey’ Ivanov in his place.
Wins against Yellow Submarine and NAVI were followed by the nightmare scenario of three losses in a row against Spirit, Yandex, and Tundra in a hard-fought series that averaged over 50 minutes per game.
PGL Wallachia Season 7 Playoffs are already underway with BetBoom taking down Heroic 2-0 to send them to the lower bracket. Elsewhere, VG takes on Team Spirit, Aurora plays Tandex, and Tundra will face BLAST DotA Slam VI winners, Team Liquid.
