Recently, former Battlestate Games developers, including the company’s Head of PR, Dmitri Ogorodnikov, bid farewell to the studio after years of supporting Escape from Tarkov. Ogorodnikov, along with former PR Manager, German Terekhov, have set their sights on a brand-new game, named Rush is Real.
They’ve contributed to the opening of a new studio, Nomion Games, and at present, the team is deep in the ‘experimenting and prototyping’ stage.
Not Just Another Shooter
In a post on social media written towards the end of February, Battlestate Games veteran Dmitri Ogorodnikov revealed his departure and explained what’s coming next with ‘Rush is Real’:
what comes next is Rush is Real
with a deep sense of how important and unique this moment is, i can say this is not just “another shooter”
this is a game where risk and pressure are pushed to the absolute where inaction is deadly.
where the audience and the world itself can be just as dangerous as any enemy
For now, all we have about Rush is Real is a logo, which is almost reminiscent of a chemical composition chart:
In a recent update, Terekhov explained:
The creation of a new studio stems from the belief that creative potential, accumulated experience, and ambition should not be put on hold — they need movement, risk, and the freedom to create something truly new.
The overall direction of the project has already been defined, but we are intentionally leaving room for change and the pursuit of better solutions.
The team is gradually being formed by people with extensive experience working on major projects.
For now, we can rest only knowing that something is in the works at Nomion Games; we just don’t know what that is.
