Marathon Season 1 Release Date Countdown & Exact Start Times

Marathon is set to hit the ground running, as the new extraction shooter is ready to burst onto the scene. To kick things off is the release of Season 1, which is full of new content for fans to uncover.

From three Zones and six Factions to familiarise yourself with, to 28 Weapons and six Runner Shells to use in combat, there’s tons to explore with Season 1 of Marathon. Of course, the Server Slam Playtest gave fans a glimpse of what to expect, but it pales in comparison to what Season 1 has to offer.

If you’re dying to jump into Season 1 of Marathon and can’t wait to get started, then you’re in the right place, as here are the exact dates and times for when you can begin your first Runs.

When Is Marathon Season 1 Coming Out? Release Date, Explained

Bungie has announced that Season 1 of Marathon will officially launch across all platforms on March 5, 2026.

That coincides with the official launch of the full game, so you won’t need to wait to dive into Season 1 of Marathon. Of course, Marathon was slated for a September 2025 release, but after receiving negative feedback from alpha tests, it was delayed indefinitely back in June 2025.

It wound up only being a six-month postponement, with early March 2026 now settled as the concrete release date. It seems that, based on Server Slam Playtest feedback and Steam charts, the delay was worth it, as hype is at an all-time high for Season 1 to get going.

Marathon Season 1 Release Times

Marathon Season 1 is expected to begin at the same time as the Server Slam Playtest did, meaning it will officially launch on March 5, 2026, at 10 AM PT.

That release window also aligns with Destiny 2’s daily reset time, Bungie’s other popular multiplayer title, so it isn’t outlandish that they’d stick to the same window for Marathon, too.

Below is a table with numerous time zone conversions for your convenience:
