The Shrouded Sky update has introduced two new ARC threats to ARC Raiders: The Firefly, and the Comet. Both of these enemies are equally threatening, but the Comet is the topic of everyone’s discussions.
Thanks to the brand new Weather Monitor System Project, everyone is scrambling for one item in particular—the Comet Igniter. As you might expect, the Comet and Comet Igniter tie together in a unique way, but it might not be especially obvious how to obtain them.
If you’re struggling to find Comet Igniters in ARC Raiders, then you’re in the right place, as Insider Gaming has broken down how to get them, as well as where to find them.
How To Get Comet Igniters In ARC Raiders

Comet Igniters are a unique drop obtained by killing the new ARC threat, Comets.
Unfortunately, this news comes with a major caveat: you need to kill the Comet before it gets a chance to explode. If you let it get too close, the ARC will detonate a seismic explosion, thus destroying the Comet Igniter.

This might sound easy, but the Comets are durable ARC which chase you at rapid speeds once they’re aware of your position. You’ll want to pick them off from range with heavy weapons like the Ferro or Anvil, but don’t miss your shots, or else your shield will be blown to smithereens—their blast radius is nothing to scoff at.
Where To Find Comets In ARC Raiders

Comets spawn on every map in ARC Raiders except Stella Montis, as they patrol the surface in search of raiders.
Even though the Comets look and act similarly to Pops and Fireballs, they have a very different spawning method. As the name might suggest, Comets rocket down from orbit, crashing onto the surface, where they begin their patrols. The indoor nature of Stella Montis prevents this, meaning they’re not to be found in the mountainside refuge.

However, the same goes for the other maps. Don’t waste your time inside buildings, as you’ll want to search for Comets on the surface. You might be able to spot them spawning in by the crash-landing, similar to the likes of Wasps and Hornets, but the likelihood is that you’ll see them patrolling.
