How To Upgrade Your Skateboard In High On Life 2—Skate Letters, Explained

One of the best new features for High On Life 2 is undoubtedly the Skateboard. It might sound like a simple piece of kit, but it transforms movement in the game, and it can be just as handy during combat.

You can fling the Skateboard out from under your feet to hit enemies, or jump on them to deal some damage. If you really want to up the ante, there are a handful of upgrades that can make it even more powerful.

However, it’s not immediately obvious where to find them, or how to earn the currency required to purchase them—Skate Letters. Well, worry not, as Insider Gaming has everything explained for you down below.

Your Skateboard can be upgraded at Reptical’s Skateboard shop, which can be found on the Beach map. However, it’s not as obvious as it may seem.

Once you arrive at Reptical’s shop, you’ll see a bunch of cosmetics that you can buy for your Skateboard. However, these aren’t upgrades; if you’re looking for those, you’ll need to head to his secret store.

If you go around the back of the shop, you’ll find a wheelie bin, and Repitcal will call you over. Head inside with him, and you’ll find some of his more illicit goods—aka, upgrades.

From underboard spikes to better grip to grind walls for longer, there’s a great selection that improves both the board’s combat and utility usages. That being said, if any of the upgrades interest you, you’re going to need Skate Letters, as these can’t be purchased with Pesos.

Skate Letters are earned in two different ways: either by completing races or by completing skateboard challenges.

You’ll find these on all three of the maps, and each comes with its own selection of Skate Letters to obtain. Both are fairly simple, but you’ll just have to find them on each of the maps before you can participate.

Unfortunately, they won’t show up on the map until they’ve been discovered, but Insider Gaming has done the hard work for you. Each of the locations is highlighted in the images below:
