God of War Prime Video Series Reunites Game Actor With Mimir Role

Three more names have been cast in the God of War series coming to Prime Video, including an actor who has voiced the character in the video games.

Variety reports that Alastair Duncan has been cast as Mimir in the upcoming God of War series. He previously voiced the character in the most recent God of War games. Additionally, Danny Woodburn and Jeff Gulka have been cast as Brok and Sindri.

Mimir is described as a cheery character with an expensive intellect and self-describes as the smartest man in the world. He will serve as the advisor to Odin, played in the series by Mandy Patinkin. Brok and Sindri are Dwarven blacksmiths

More on the Cast of the Forthcoming God of War Series

In addition to these three announcements, it has been previously confirmed that Ryan Hurst will play Kratos. He previously voiced Thor in the God of War: Ragnarök video game. Also, Teresa Palmer will play Thor’s wife, Sif, in the series. Speaking of Thor, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson will be portraying the God of Thunder.

Prime Video’s God of War is Already Renewed for Season 2

Amazon renewed the series for a second season. and production is expected to begin in February 2026. As of now, there’s no word on when the series will premiere. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
