All Shiny Locked Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, Listed

The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A adds hundreds of returning Pokémon to the game, although, as usual, there are several Pokémon that are Shiny Locked and cannot be hunted.

Shiny Locked Pokémon are a staple in the franchise, with restrictions on which Pokémon you can encounter in their rare form, resulting in some never being available as a Shiny no matter how many times you reset to hunt them.

The trend continues in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension, and Insider Gaming has the full list of Shiny Locked Pokémon to save you the trouble of grinding for nothing.

There are 15 Shiny Locked Pokémon in the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including those you encounter in story progression, in endgame missions, and as gift Pokémon.

The majority of the DLC Pokémon that are Shiny Locked are Legendary or Mythical Pokémon, continuing the recent trend of the franchise for these Pokémon being unavailable in their Shiny forms. However, there are some significant exceptions, which are detailed later.

The list below details all of the Pokémon in the Mega Dimension DLC that are Shiny Locked and cannot be encountered in their special form, thanks to Serebii.

Although the gifted Gimmighoul you receive as a gift Pokémon in the Mega Dimension DLC is Shiny Locked, you can catch other Gimmighoul in Hyperspace Lumiose, and those you encounter in the wild can be found as Shiny.

Which Pokémon Are Not Shiny Locked in Mega Dimension DLC?

Any Pokémon not listed in the table above can be encountered as a Shiny Pokémon in Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC, including several Legendary Pokémon.

Latios, Latias, Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion can all be Shiny hunted in Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension after the main story is completed, though the hunts will be harder due to repeated resets. Still, it’s the best option Pokémon has provided in a long while.
