Stone is one of the most basic materials in the Roblox game The Forge, used for early crafting recipes and several low-level quests, yet players often run into situations where it feels strangely scarce. Even though Stone appears to be a common resource, certain mechanics can prevent it from dropping consistently.
In The Forge, you’ll encounter a wide range of minerals as you progress through weapon and armor upgrades, but Stone remains the foundation for early gear, tool crafting, and quest progression. Despite its low rarity, many Roblox players report that rocks sometimes fail to produce Stone at all.
Where To Get Stone In The Forge

As mentioned above, Stone is one of the first and most common resources to find in the Forge, as players can find it by mining Pebbles. They are the smallest type of rocks in the game and spawn exclusively in Stonewake’s Cross, which is thus the only location where gamers can obtain Stone ore.
Pebbles also respawn quickly, so players don’t have to wait long between mining sessions, and as Stone has a 1 in 1 chance of dropping, it makes things even easier.
Furthermore, players can mine Stone in The Forge with a pickaxe, even the basic one, which means there’s no barrier when it comes to gathering the resource.
Why Isn’t Stone Dropping In The Forge?
While it may be the most common resource available, players across the game have recently encountered a problem where stone isn’t dropping. That is despite the drop rate being 1 to 1 from pebbles, and the reason is their luck stat. Simply put, the higher a player’s luck stat, the higher the chance of extracting a rarer ore and not stone in the Forge. It’s ironic, but when a player’s luck stat is too high, the game’s drop system prioritises rarer ores over common ones.
However, there are ways to fix this, and it’s all simply down to reducing the luck stat:
Check Your Class
The race that a gamer is playing as often gives a nice, large boost to the Luck stat, as even with the Human class, which all players start with, has a +3% boost to Luck. For those who have rolled the Elf class, or are lucky enough to be playing as an Angel, they’ll also be receiving boosts to Luck.
Thus, for those with the Elf class, consider rerolling if you have additional spins available or wait until you reach Level 30 in the Forge to unlock an additional character slot. For those with the Angel, don’t re-roll and wait until Level 30 to unlock the additional character slot.
Unequip Any Achievements
A lot of the achievements that players unlock over the course of their adventures in The Forge offer various boosts and one of them just happens to be the Luck Boost skill equipped. It’s given out for meeting the Dedicated Players milestones, and to reach an 8% boost in Luck, players will only need to play the game for just five hours.
Thus, to unequip the skill, do the following:
- Press the Bag icon in the hotbar.
- Click on the green Achievements Tab.
- Scroll down to Dedicated Player.
- And if you’ve unlocked any stages, there’ll be an Unequip option. Simply click on that and mine pebbles.
Check Your Runes and Pickaxe
Review any runes or enchantments on your current pickaxe that might be boosting your Luck stat. Temporarily equip a basic pickaxe without these enhancements to increase your chances of getting Stone. Furthermore, using a weaker pickaxe will help a lot, as they have a higher chance of only being able to get common ores, like Stone.
Check For Any Ongoing Events
Sometimes, if there’s an active event, it’ll give players 2x multipliers for various stats, including Luck, and that can prevent Stone from dropping entirely. However, there’s no fix for that, and players simply have to wait until the event is over to improve their chances of getting Stone in The Forge.
