The Pokémon Company has trademarked the name ‘Celebration Collection’ in Japan, under full English, in the same terms as trademarks have been previously used for set names.
2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, with the history of the TCG likely to be referenced in a special set, and it appears the name for next year’s anniversary set has been unveiled.
Celebration Collection Trademarked by Pokémon

Revealed by Pokebeach, the trademark of Celebration Collection hints at what a holiday set in mid-2026 could entail, suggesting that a similar path to 2021’s Celebrations may be followed.
Celebrations had a main set of holo cards featuring a 25th anniversary stamp, alongside a subset of classic cards from the TCG reprinted with the same anniversary stamp—including the likes of Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur from Base Set.
It’s not clear yet whether a similar approach will be followed in 2026, but it’s pretty much a guarantee there will be an anniversary set of some kind based on Pokémon’s history with previous anniversaries.
In 2016, for the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, the TCG introduced the Generations set and XY Evolutions, a reprint of Base Set, along with several stamped promo cards featuring the 20th anniversary logo.
No release window for Celebration Collection has been stated, though the standard format for the TCG means it’s likely to come in mid-2026 in English as the second holiday set of the year, following on from Ascended Heroes.
Japan, as always, will see the set released first, but there are several TCG sets on the agenda before Celebration Collection emerges on the scene, with trademarks uncovered for Munikis Zero, Ninja Spinner, Storm Emeralda, and Abyss Eye—expected to showcase the likes of Mega Zygarde, Mega Greninja, Mega Rayquaza, and Darkrai.
