How To Get Rare Candy In Pokémon TCG Pocket

Pokémon TCG Pocket is always adding new cards, but Rare Candy might be one of the most powerful Item cards the game has, and will, ever include. If you’re new to the game or somehow missing the card, we’ve got a full explainer for you.

Rare Candy has always been gold in Pokémon games—more so than Gold Nuggets! Their use has been simple: A chosen Pokémon will automatically go up a full level. This is immensely useful for evolving Pokémon faster or getting your little pals to learn more powerful moves quicker.

In Pokémon TCG Pocklet, a Rare Candy card has a different use—and it can turn the tide of a battle very quickly.

Rare Candy basically lets you take a Basic Pokémon, skip its next evolution, and get it all the way to its final form in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

For example, if you have a Snivy or a Ralts, and you want to evolve them into a Serperior or Gardevoir—without Rare Candy—you need to use up at least two turns to evolve them once, and then into their final forms.

Rare Candy lets you skip the middle evolution. Meaning, you can evolve your Snivy straight into Serperior, and so on.

How To Get Rare Candy Item Card In Pokémon TCG Pocket

You have the chance of pulling a Rare Candy from either a Celestial Guardians Solgaleo or Lunala pack, by using Pack Points from the Celestial Guardians to craft a card, or trading for it.

Trading is self-explanatory at this point. However, the other two methods are the easier, can-do-right-now tactics.

Celestial Guardians Packs

Open up either pack type (Celestial Guardians Solgaleo or Lunala), and Rare Candy can be found in them. As always, it boils down to luck how many times you must open them until you pull a Rare Candy. Keep doing so, and eventually you should luck out.

Pack Points

If you have 70 Pack Points from the Celestial Guardians set to spare, you can use the feature to quickly craft the card. You can only have two of one card in any one Deck, so bear this in mind. Obviously, if you’re looking to improve the design of a Rare Candy, you might want to whip up some more and spend Shinedust.

Hopefully, this guide told you everything you needed to know about rare Candy. It’s easily one of the powerful weapons in Pokémon TCG Pocket, so here’s hoping you get one or two! Let us know what you’re enjoying about Pocket through our Insider Gaming Official Discord Server.
