How to Evolve Sliggoo Into Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Completing the Pokédex in any Pokémon game is a stern challenge, and it’s no different in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, where the method to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra could halt your progression.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A has a heap of Pokémon that only evolve through special means, aside from the standard level-up evolution mechanic, and Sliggoo is one of the more unique Pokémon in the franchise, as it requires the aid of Mother Nature.

If you’re struggling to evolve your Sliggoo into Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, we’ve got all the details you need.

Sliggoo has two requirements to trigger evolution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, as it must be at least level 50 and requires it to be raining to evolve into Goodra.

Reaching Level 50 with Sliggoo is simple enough, though it can be time-consuming, as it’s the standard method for evolution in Pokémon games, but the weather requirements add another challenge to the mix, as, effectively, it takes control out of the player’s hands.

Though there are methods to change the weather in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, there isn’t a guaranteed way to ensure that rain is triggered, so you may need to wait a while until this particular evolution can be ticked off in your to-do list.

Can You Catch Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

Yes, Goodra can be caught in Pokémon Legends: Z-A if you want to skip the complicated evolution mechanics, but there isn’t a guaranteed spot where it is located.

Instead, Goodra is one of the many Pokémon that can spawn as an Alpha in Wild Zone 20, which unlocks after you complete the main story, taking a spot in an extensive list alongside the likes of Gyarados, Leafeon, Tyranitar, and Lucario.

Additionally, the two Alpha Pokémon spawn points in Wild Zone 20 are directly under the remains of the Prism Tower, which is exactly the same spot as where Zygarde is waiting for you to battle and catch it. If you have beaten Lysandre in the post-game, Zygarde will claim that spot as its own.

When Zygarde is in the location, no Alpha Pokémon will spawn in that area, which blocks Goodra from ever appearing in the wild. So, Zygarde is waiting, it’s worth pushing its capture to the top of your to-do list.
