Being able to change your FOV in Battlefield 6 is a blessing. It’s a customizable setting that can be adjusted to better suit your setup. Whether you want minimal FOV or an enhanced view, knowing how to change your field of view in BF 6 is a skill every good soldier needs.
Battlefield 6 has done its best to listen to players and cater to everyone. You only need to barrel through the game’s endless list of settings to see how much you can tinker with. We’ve also told you how to adjust crossplay, in case you’re not keen on the function.
Today, we go one step further and give you a walkthrough on changing FOV and why it shouldn’t be overlooked.
How To Change Field Of View Setting In Battlefield 6

You must go to Battlefield 6’s Settings, go through the Graphics options until you get to Field of View, and increase or decrease its value until you’re satisfied.
Let’s quickly cut any further explainers and tell you how to do this in BF 6, as we know that’s what you’re here for:
- Go to the main Battlefield 6 menu or pause your game mid-match.
- Scroll through the menu’s horizontal options until you reach the cog symbol.
- Press on the selection.
- In the left-hand column that appears, you must look for Graphics and scroll down to it, and press on the choice.
- Head down to the Camera Settings options.
- Field of View should be the first one.
- You can now increase or decrease it to your heart’s content!
What Does FOV Do In Battlefield 6?
Having a higher FOV allows you to see more of the action going on by zooming the camera out more, whereas a lower FOV zooms the camera in; while it restricts your visibility, it enhances the detail of everything happening onscreen.
Some people have wide monitors, some people have 32″ TVs, and some have 65″ beasts. Everyone’s setup is different. The game tries to adjust to what you’re seeing, but it can only do so much. This is where a changeable field of view comes into play.
In layman’s terms: FOV determines how much of the in-game action you can see at any given moment.
Why Should You Change Your FOV In Battlefield 6?
We think you should tweak your FOV until you find the right balance in Battlefield 6.
The Insider Gaming team is the perfect example of this section. Some staff members prefer a lower FOV, whereas others can’t imagine a world without a higher FOV. It’s a classic case of “each to their own.”
Having a 110 FOV means you can see things out of the corner of your eye you wouldn’t see with 85, for instance. This comes at the cost of everything in front of you being further away—making enemies harder to hit and see.
We recommend heading to the Firing Range and changing the setting while shooting at the targets.
