Yes, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available with an Xbox Game Pass subscription immediately when it launches on September 4.
Available on both Xbox Series X|S and PC, Hollow Knight: Silksong will undoubtedly be one of the biggest highlights in the Game Pass catalog in September, following on from an already impressive Wave 2 in August.
As it’s available at launch, it’s expected that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available on the Game Pass service indefinitely, although precise details have not been stated. Any departures are announced well in advance, however, so it shouldn’t spring up a surprise if it does get removed.
For now though, you won’t have to worry about splashing out to gain access to Silksong.
How to Play Hollow Knight: Silksong on Xbox Game Pass
You can pre-download Hollow Knight: Silksong with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription ahead of the September 4 launch, so you can dive straight into your adventure.
Even if a full download is not available, Game Pass has a placeholder available that will automatically download the full game as soon as it can. To complete the full process, follow these steps:
- Access your Xbox account, either on console or on PC.
- Ensure your Game Pass subscription is active.
- Open the Xbox Store.
- Search for Hollow Knight: Silksong in the search function, or click the Games Coming Soon tab.
- Click on the game page.
- Press to download the title, with the option showing where a purchase option is usually found.
When all those steps are completed, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be ready to play at launch immediately with a subscription, though you must be logged into the account the service is tied to, or play on the ‘Home Console’ of an account with the subscription.
