Blade joins the Marvel Rivals roster soon. Before using the new duelist, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with all of his abilities.
Fans can expect a few massive changes in Marvel Rivals Season 3.5. The mid-season update introduces a text chat filter that removes muted words, as selected by players, and more players will be penalized for toxic voice chat. In addition, NetEase plans on implementing stricter penalties for leaving competitive matches early.
And, along with a new game mode and map, Blade is the star of the show.
When Does Blade Come to Marvel Rivals?

Blade launches in Marvel Rivals at the start of Season 3.5 on August 8.
The Duelist will be available for everyone to use, and there will also be a new Polarity Edge costume in the store to purchase. NetEase didn’t reveal how much the bundle will cost.
However, NetEase creative director Guangguang did explain what fans can expect from the latest character.
“Blade is a true duelist. His unique bloodline gives him incredible strength, and his mastery of combat puts it to full use.”
“Pressure foes at mid-to-close range with his shotgun, and reduce their healing at just the right moment. Then, unleash his ravenous Ancestral Sword, awaken the Dhampir bloodline, and slice through every last enemy. And, when the time is right, draw the legendary Sword of Dracula, dashing through foes, leaving a deadly trail in your wake.”
Abilities
Blade’s abilities tend to favor aggressive players who enjoy taking on engagements on the front line. Similar to Wolverine, Blade will excel at targeting Vanguards and taking them away from the action, or clearing a lane to go after the Strategists.
Based on the description and one clip alone, Thousand-Fold Slash has the makings of a phenomenal Ultimate Ability because you can use it to dash forward and destroy everything in your path.
| Name | Controls | Description |
| Ancestral Sword | Left-Click (PC), R2 (PS5), RT (Xbox) | Slash forward with Blade’s Ancestral Sword. |
| Hunter’s Shotgun | Left-Click (PC), R2 (PS5), RT (Xbox) | Fire at enemies using your Shotgun. |
| Thousand-Fold Slash | Q (PC), L3 + R3 (PS5), L + R (Xbox) | Charge power and swiftly draw the Sword of Dracula, executing a powerful Iaido strike as you dash forward, leaving behind a slashing zone where the sword automatically strikes enemies. |
| Daywalker Dash | Shift (PC), R1 (PS5), RB (Xbox) | Dash forward. If wielding your gun, shoot at enemies upon impact, applying a Healing Reduction effect. If wielding your sword, deliver a cleaving strike that inflicts Slow. |
| Bloodline Awakening | E (PC), L1 (PS5), LB (Xbox) | Awaken the Dhampir bloodline, enhancing slash speed during continuous attacks and triggering Whirlwind Slash. While under this state, you suffer Reduced Healing, but attacks gain Lifesteal. |
| Scarlet Shroud | Right Click (PC), L2 (PS5), LT (Xbox) | Parry with Ancestral Sword to become Unstoppable for a brief period, reducing damage taken from the front and decreasing the cooldown of Daywalker Dash. |
Team-Up Ability
As previously mentioned, Blade is designed to target Vanguards and Strategists, and the Team-Up ability enforces that theory because Cloak & Dagger can turn him invisible, allowing him to sneak into the backline and wreak havoc.
Here is how the ability works.
| Name | Heroes | Effect |
| New Moon | Cloak & Dagger, Moon Knight, Blade | Cloak & Dagger can inject light and dark energy into Moon Knight and Blade to create a Light & Dark Realm where Moon Knight and Blade can become invisible and gain Healing Over Time. Blade can unleash Swift Strike toward a targeted enemy. |
