All Team-Up Ability Changes in Marvel Rivals Season 3.5

NetEase announced a few potential meta-altering Team-Up ability changes, coming in Marvel Rivals Season 3.5

Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 officially starts on August 8. The mid-season update finally introduces Blade as a new Duelist and adds a new map and game mode. In addition, a new manual review system will ban more players for being toxic over the in-game voice chat, and a new mute feature allows players to avoid specific words in text chat.

As for competitive matches, players will get longer bans from competitive play for leaving early and bigger point deductions. Players who stick it out after a teammate leaves will receive point compensation, and surrender votes will require one fewer than the number of players remaining. And for balancing, several Team-Ups have been reworked.

Season 3.5 Team-Up Ability Changes

Here is a look at every Team-Up change in Season 3.

New Team-Up Abilities

Team-Up AbilityHeroesEffect
Duality DanceLuna Snow and Adam Warlock Luna Snow heals damage taken to her and fires that same amount of health points taken away in a lethal counter-attack on the enemy.
Vibrant VitalityGroot, Mantis, Loki With Mantis as the anchor, Loki gives a damage boost to nearby allies, while Groot’s walls heal allies.

Removed Team-Up Abilities

Team-Up AbilityHeroesEffect
Guardian RevivalAdam Warlock, Mantis, Star-LordAdam Warlock grants Mantis and Star-Lord his Regenerative Cocoon ability, turning them into a soul after death, which they can use to regenerate from, letting them get back to the fight quickly. As with Adam Warlock, this ability has a long cooldown, so it won’t necessarily activate after every death.
Atlas BondIron Fist and Luna SnowIron Fist channels the Chi of Shou-Lao into Luna Snow, transforming her ice power into a Chi-infused frosty ring that radiates from her. This ring can launch up enemies with chilling damage and applies a slowing effect, while simultaneously healing her allies. Iron Fist unlocks a passive ability, Dragon’s Chill, while Luna Snow gets Frozen Chi.

Changed Team-Up Abilities

Loki will no longer be included in Ragnarok Rebirth. Meanwhile, Iron Fist joins Chilling Assault, Star-Lord is added to Rocket Network, and Blade launches in Lunar Force.

Lunar Force is a Team Up ability in Marvel Rivals. Cloak & Dagger work as the anchor and benefit Moon Knight. Cloak & Dagger can inject light and dark energy into Moon Knight to create a Light & Dark Realm where Moon Knight can become invisible. Based on the preview video, Blade will also be able to become invisible.

NetEase did not explain how the other changed Team-Up abilities will work.
