It has been claimed that both State of Decay 3 and Gears of War E-Day will launch on PlayStation 5 when they both surface. While some might see this news as being fairly obvious, given Microsoft’s stance of putting Xbox games on as many platforms as possible, we’re yet to have any solid confirmation that either of these games would appear on PlayStation.
We know that Gears of War: Reloaded is heading to PlayStation 5, which makes it not that far a leap to assume that Gears of War: E-Day would also release on the platform.
State of Decay 3 is a newcomer, though.
Will State of Decay 3 Be on PS5?
The recent report from MP1st uses resumes as the guiding light for the news that State of Decay 3 and Gears E-Day will launch on PlayStation 5. In a recent write-up, the team revealed that they’d uncovered a resume for a Game Designer working on Gears E-Day who writes that the game will launch on Xbox Series, PC, and PS5.
Similarly, they’ve dug up a resume for a developer at Undead Labs who writes that State of Decay 3 is coming to PC, Xbox, and PS5.
While this isn’t the most reliable way to confirm anything, it’s one step closer to getting something concrete. Given the nature of the data contained in the average resume, MP1st was unable to provide links or copies of their source references, so we can’t look any deeper.
In the comments under a social post that shared the report, one user joked that State of Decay 3 isn’t even coming to Xbox at this point. It has been seven years since the last State of Decay title was released, and aside from a couple of trailers, we’ve got no information about State of Decay 3, including a release window.
