Is Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Coming to Xbox Game Pass?

The wait for Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is almost over. Let’s see if the upcoming 2D side-scrolling adventure game will be on Xbox Game Pass.

Since the first Ninja Gaiden game was released in 1988, the series has been available on nearly every console. From the NES to TurboGrafx, Atari Lynx, Master System, to PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the franchise can be found anywhere. In addition, there has been a long line of console exclusives.

There is also a history of console exclusivity intertwined with the series. The Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 reboots first appeared exclusively on Xbox. Additionally, Xbox Game Studios is developing the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 4, but it will also be available on PlayStation 5. Xbox users do get some benefits, though, as Ninja Gaiden 4 will be available as a day-one release on Game Pass. With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about its status on Xbox Game Pass.

Can You Play Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on Xbox Game Pass?

No, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will not be available on Xbox Game Pass.

However, fans won’t need to shell out the full $69.99 or even $79.99 in some cases, as the digital edition of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound only costs $24.99.

There is also an option to purchase a physical edition for $39.99, which includes the game, a digital copy of the official soundtrack, and a retro-style booklet. It’s unclear if Microsoft ever intends to add the game to the service. This will be disappointing news to some fans, given that Ninja Gaiden 4 is set to release on Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox has already revealed the full slate of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in July, and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound would have been included in the list if it were going to be on the service. That being said, subscribers still have plenty to be excited about. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Grounded 2, and Abiotic Factor are all highlights of the second wave of games.

Meanwhile, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 was a day-one launch for Game Pass earlier in the month. Looking forward, the critically acclaimed Farming Simulator 25 joins Game Pass on August 1.

Will Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Come to Xbox Game Pass?

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound could be added to the Xbox Game Pass service at a later date, but there has been no confirmation of that happening.

The Game Kitchen developed Blasphemous 2, and since that game is available on Game Pass, there is a chance that the development team will do the same for this title. However, since there is no guarantee that Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will ever come to the subscription service, your best bet is to purchase the game.
