When Does Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 Release? Exact Release Date & Time

A new season is upon us in Marvel Rivals, and while that means there’s plenty more to enjoy, it also provides the opportunity to begin the countdown to Season 3.5.

Season 3 in Marvel Rivals has some big additions, namely the arrival of Phoenix as a playable character. Still, there’s more on the cards for the season, including another new character, a new map, and new skins, alongside limited-time events and rewards.

Here are all the details you need for the start of Season 3.5 in Marvel Rivals, including what you can expect to see in the big mid-season update.

Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 will kick off on August 8, as confirmed by a roadmap shared by NetEase, marking the halfway point in the season.

Previous seasons have seen servers taken down for maintenance at 2am PT/4am CT/5am ET/10am BST/7pm AEST, with downtime expected to last between two and three hours.

A change of approach from previous seasons means that Season 3 as a whole will last for two months, down from a previous three-month length, with each half season consisting of four weeks. Previously, the mid-season update would be deployed six weeks into the season.

The change means players can expect new characters to be released more frequently, a wise choice considering the long list of potential characters available, given the developer has been granted full creative license.

What’s Coming in Marvel Rivals Season 3.5?

The biggest addition to Marvel Rivals in Season 3.5 is the debut of Blade as a new playable character in the roster, following months of teases.

Blade first appeared in Marvel Rivals during Season 1, where he was rescued from the clutches Dracula, and was then recovering in Wakanda—where he could be spotted resting on a bed. However, ahead of Season 3, he vanished from view, and we now know the reason why.

A new map is also due to arrive in Season 3.5, alongside fresh balancing adjustments, and the update coincides with the Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid-Season Finals, so we could see other additions to hype up the tournament taking place in Guangzhou, China.

Given that Season 3 is packed full of events, including a celebration of the Fantastic Four movie launch and a summer swimsuit event, we can expect to see additional events and rewards when Season 3.5 comes around early next month.

As we get closer to the launch of Season 3.5, more details will be revealed by NetEase, so keep your eyes peeled on teasers and announcements.
