College Football 26 is now available, but to be the best, you’re going to need to utilize the best offensive playbooks on offer, and that’s where we come in.
After the successful rebirth of the franchise last year, EA Sports is back again with College Football 26, and there are significant adjustments to the likes of Dynasty Mode, though playbooks are vital in any mode you select.
Having the best players and putting hours into training means nothing if you don’t have a solid offensive playbook to utilize on game day, so we’re here to help with our pick of the best in College Football 26.
Best Offensive Playbooks in College Football 26
Rice

With strong Pistol and Shotgun formations, the Rice offensive playbook is strong for those looking at options. With auto motions, RPOs, and quick pass options, there should always be plenty of options and is the perfect choice for anyone looking to create a run-heavy offense.
The Wingback Over formation is one of the strongest available for those looking at the run game, and while the passing options aren’t amazing, there’s certainly enough to run your opponent’s defense into the ground.
UCLA
Gun Bunch looks set to be a meta formation in College Football 26, and the UCLA playbook is one of the strongest in that regard. With long pass options, short tosses to running backs, and everything in between, UCLA has what is essentially a swiss army knife for any offense.
Some plays offered are exclusive to the UCLA playbook, making it a worthwhile pick in its own right, with Clearout SE Out likely to be one of the most utilised formations in the game.
Houston

For anyone looking to build a pass-heavy offense, Houston’s playbook is a solid choice with a host of formation options, including Y Off Trips and Trips TE. Auto-motion plays are limited, which is a setback, but there’s plenty provided to your arsenal to dominate the aerial game.
One of my favorite aspects of Houston’s playbook is the versatility in formations, giving the option of spreading an opposition defense or bunching close together to try and find a breakaway.
Oregon State
For those that utilize Bunch formations, the Oregon State playbook is the cream of the crop and has everything you could ever want. It’s the perfect playbook for those who want a little bit of everything from their offense, with strong plays to utilize in the air and on the ground.
Expect the Oregon State playbook to be widely used in online modes, so you might want to switch things up later down the line, but as a starting point, Oregon State is arguably the best offensive playbook in the entire game.
Kansas Jayhawks
If you want a playbook that’s full of new plays, the Kansas Jayhawks playbook is the perfect option. As detailed by TheGamingTailgate, there are 194 new plays in the Kansas Jayhawks playbook, the most in the game, with 45% of the plays being new.
The Jayhawks playbook has some approaches that are rarely used by other offenses, with three Bash plays, the fifth-highest in the game, a whopping 24 Orbit plays, by far the most, and 10 Mtn RPO Plays, again the highest totals in the game.
