Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Footage Gives First Look at Free-to-Play Mode

Battle Royale is one of the many modes in Battlefield 6, and more leaked Labs footage has been revealed; this time showing off what the opening to a BR match looks like.

Battlefield 6 testing is well underway. EA, DICE, and the other associated developers are hard at work on the latest BF game. Its extensive Labs testing is to ensure we don’t have a Battlefield 2042 repeat on our hands. New leaked footage shows what you can expect from a BR match in the shooter.

X user @temporyal is a notorious Battlefield dataminer. They shared new footage from Battlefield 6’s upcoming battle royale mode, but it’s only a few seconds, so don’t get too excited.

It shows an army of helicopters and aerial transport vehicles heading to the presumed battle zone. It’s the same kind of opening you’d expect to see in a match of Warzone or other similar BR games.

Temporyal has claimed thebattle royale has the following elements:

  • Map set in California
  • Insertion via CH-47 Chinook
  • Destructive ring made of a compound called “NXC”

Do you think Battlefield 6 will learn from the battle royale mistakes of previous Battlefield games? Is the BR genre overdone at this point? Let us know via the Insider Gaming forum.
