Space-faring PVP multiplayer shooter Wildgate’s official release date was announced at Summer Games Fest, though you’ll be able to jump in much sooner.
The Moonshot Games title impressed in our preview, and, following an upcoming open beta, the Wildgate’s release date has been announced as July 24.
Prior to that, the Wildgate Open Beta kicks off on June 9 and runs until June 16. It will be available to play on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
What’s in the Wildgate Open Beta?
The Open Beta introduces more places to explore with three new points of interest: The Refiner, The Drill Station, and The Juggernaut.
Along with new areas of exploration, players will also be able to tackle additional daily quests and a brand-new quest system, all while benefiting from a redesigned user interface and other improvements.
Game Director Dustin Browder said the updates came on the back of “incredible feedback” from players involved in early community tests, which achieved over 100,000 unique players.
Official start and end times for the Open Beta have yet to be announced, but are expected to arrive in the coming days before the servers open to everyone.
Moonshot Games is a new studio, with Wildgate set to be the first release, with the title first revealed in March.
