The PS5 Stellar Blade release went down like a treat. It sold well, and now it’s coming to PC. Ahead of its new port, modders have had a look through Stellar Blade’s files and seen that co-op and multiplayer might be possible for those wanting split-screen spectacles.
Stellar Blade’s PC demo is doing well, and it bodes well that the game’s audience is likely to grow ahead of an officially unannounced (but known) Stellar Blade 2 sequel. The game received a lot of attention for its excellent debut, and a PC release beckons.
We’re still days away from its PC port. However, this hasn’t stopped modders from rooting through Stellar Blade’s files and finding some juicy details.
Modders Find Stellar Blade Multiplayer Functionality
The Stellar Blade Brasil fan account posted a video of the modded footage. The translated message said:
“The modder @phantomSomnus found references to multiplayer in Stellar Blade’s files. And in this video, with a 2nd Eve spawned, the screen surprisingly splits into two, as if the game were prepared for a local co-op mode (two controllers).”
A second Eve does appear in the video. Additionally, when she appears, the screen splits into two—confirming the possibility of split-screen multiplayer.

Plus, the modder (Somnus, of the Ludens) also shared a picture of the file names. It shows various assets with “MultiPlay” in the name. It’s unclear if Shift Up has only toyed with the idea, it was a test that was accidentally left in the game’s files, or it’s a sign that official multiplayer and co-op support is inbound.
