Nightreign could potentially be the final piece of new Elden Ring content. New and old players are keen to know if Elden Ring Nightreign’s review embargo is going to be good news, and if FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have smashed it out of the park.
Elden Ring Nightreign is quite different from the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, if you didn’t know. It leans toward battle royale and almost rogue elements for its gameplay. There’s no concentrated story, instead, there’s an emphasis on procedurally generated content, and each night feels different.
Expectations are high, but will the review scores follow suit?

What Elden Ring Nightreign Review Scores Can we Expect?
We’re going for a safer review score in the mid-80s for Elden Ring Nightreign.
It might be reasonable not to expect a score as high as Elden Ring or Shadow of the Erdtree. They were single-player-focused titles with an emphasis on storytelling and individual exploration. Nightreign is mostly about gameplay, and while there are new additions to the formula, it feels like an extension of what we’ve seen and played before.
Given this logic, somewhere around 83-86 should be expected. It’ll be fun to find out how close we were!
