XDefiant Will Receive a ‘Capture the Flag’ Mode Soon, It’s Claimed

XDefiant’s first season update will reportedly introduce a Capture the Flag mode to the game.

Spotted by VideoGamer, datamined information has revealed some interesting details for XDefiant’s Season 1 update. Through a now-deleted post by X user Rogue TX, the dataminer revealed that Ubisoft will introduce a new game mode in its Season 1 update.

The game mode in question is Capture the Flag, which we have seen primarily in games like Call of Duty, Team Fortress 2, Halo Infinite, Overwatch, and more as a staple gamemode. Of course, players should take this information with a grain of salt as it does not come from an official source, but as the account has seemingly been copyright stricken by Ubisoft, it does have some credibility.

Capture the Flag is a game mode that most multiplayer shooter veterans are well-versed with. The mode is simple, where players aim to capture the enemy team’s flag and bring it back to their base to score a point. The team with the most points at the end of the match or round wins the game – Simple!

At the moment, XDefiant has five game modes to explore: Occupy, Domination, Zone Control, Escort, and Hotshot. Adding Capture the Flag as a six-game mode will surely be a worthy addition to the game and could be a great addition to its future competitive scene.

Xdefiant is a free-to-play, first-person, multiplayer shooter by Ubisoft that has taken the world by storm. The game has been out for a little over two weeks now and has managed to gather more than 8 million unique players in that time. The game recently released its Y1S0.2 patch, which included fixes for Social features and other miscellaneous issues.
