It wasn’t all that long ago that buying a video game console meant separating yourself from a slew of first-party titles on other platforms. It was increasingly less common for titles to launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, especially if they came from Microsoft or Sony, which left many eagerly awaiting a PC release a year or two after the fact. But times are changing. These days, Microsoft especially aims to bridge the gap and bring its fan-favorite titles to other platforms. Here’s a look at a few Xbox exclusives coming to other platforms in 2025!
Previously Xbox Exclusive Titles Coming to Other Platforms in 2025
While it’s unclear precisely when we’ll receive these once-Xbox-exclusive titles on PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch, rumors are circulating, which we’ve reported on previously, surrounding a handful of titles launching elsewhere in 2025, namely:
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- Hellblade 2
- Age of Mythology
- Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
Back in school, when we would gather at a friend’s house to play Halo on the original Xbox, we never imagined Master Chief anywhere but in the Microsoft ecosystem. To think, years later, we would see the Chief himself on a PlayStation console; it’s astounding.
Now, someone, please give me a Killzone remaster or new release!

PlayStation Exclusives Coming to Xbox in 2025
If it wasn’t enough for countless Xbox titles to launch on PlayStation 5, it appears developers want to capitalize on the bustling home console market by spreading their wings and launching wide. While it’s not yet confirmed, there are rumors, originally from NateTheHate, as reported in the piece mentioned earlier, that point toward Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming to Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
