Xbox has released it’s one-handed adaptive joystick controller aimed at players with limited mobility.
The adaptive controller, which is priced at $29.99 / £24.99 was first announced in August 2024 and is aimed at players that have issues with controllers that have two analogue sticks.
“Refine your gaming experience with the configurable, wired Xbox Adaptive Joystick – designed as a companion for the Xbox Adaptive Controller and other Xbox controllers (sold separately). Made to meet the needs of players with limited mobility, the Xbox Adaptive Joystick helps make gaming more accessible for however you play,” the controllers description reads.
At the Microsoft Ability Summit, Jenny Lay-Flurrie the Vice President and Chief Accessibility Officer at Xbox said, With more than 429 million players with disabilities worldwide, we know each player has unique needs and preferences for how they choose to play.”
She continued, “The Xbox Adaptive Joystick is a singular, wired controller primarily designed to meet the needs of players with limited mobility. Its versatility helps players seamlessly incorporate it into their existing gaming setups.”
The Xbox Adaptive Controller is available now.
