WOTE Hosts $75k All-Women Fortnite Tournament

Women of the eRena (WOTE) has wrapped up their latest all-women Fortnite tournament, giving competitors a chance to win from a $75,000 prize pool.

All-Women Fortnite Tournament Hosted By Wote

WOTE’s most recent all-women tournament began this past weekend on August 24, 2024. The top players were able to qualify for the finals event, which was hosted on August 25.

The event was duos and was played over six games, with three of them being on NA-Central servers and the other three being on EU servers. This was to help equalize the lag that players from different parts of the world had to experience. The tournament was also played in the traditional Battle Royale mode. Not Zero Build.

Albaxna and Envy win WOTE Fortnite tournament

Popular Fortnite competitors, Albaxna and Envy, managed to grab first place in the WOTE Fortnite tournament, winning $20,000 together as a duo. This is a huge feat for the European duo.

Albaxna was also awarded the Tournament MVP by eRena, the company hosting the event.

The team ended the tournament with 578 points, almost 175 points more than second place, who ended the event with 405 points.

Women’s representation in esports is important and it is amazing seeing companies put on events as such. Hopefully, we see more opportunities in the future like this one.

The Milk Cup To Host First All-Women LAN This October

Also hosted by eRena, the first all-women major LAN event will be happening this October at Los Angeles Comic-Con. Titled, The Milk Cup, this tournament will feature a $250,000 prize pool and will take place on October 5, 2024.

The tournament marks a historic time in esports, as it will help further the notion that Women belong in esports. It is incredibly exciting to see eRena work this hard to make an event like this come to life.
