I love taking screenshots whenever I play a game. They help show people where to find objectives or items in a guide, like the ones we regularly cover here on Insider Gaming, but also because I fancy myself a virtual photographer. But there’s a problem. Most games, especially those outside Steam, save screenshots to unique folders. So, here’s where to find your Star Wars Outlaws screenshots!
How to Take Screenshots in Star Wars Outlaws
First and foremost, I’m sure you’d love to share your screenshots with friends, family, and the internet. As such, you have a few options for snapping a screenshot in the game. The best way, and the one offering the most creativity and control, is to use the game’s built-in Photo Mode. You can access Photo Mode in Star Wars Outlaws by pausing the game at any time, except during certain cutscenes, and selecting “Photo Mode,” the fifth option on the main menu, just below Ubisoft Connect.
By choosing this option, the game will launch an interactive tool that allows you to change so much to create the perfect screenshot. You can alter the time of day, saturation, exposure, contract, camera angles, etc. It’s a lot to take in!
Alternatively, like with Steam, you can hit F12 on your keyboard to snap a screenshot at any point during the game. Like its competitor, Ubisoft offers a built-in screenshot tool to help you share key moments in your game!

Where Do Star Wars Outlaws Screenshots Save?
Once you snap a screen you like, the game automatically saves the screenshot to Pictures > UbisoftConnect. Simply open a file browser tab on your computer, select Pictures, and within, you’ll find a folder called “Ubisoft Connect,” listing individual folders for each game where you’ve snapped a screenshot. You can find Star Wars Outlaws there.
If you’d like to change where screenshots save, you can do so by opening Ubisoft Connect, then:
- Select the hamburger icon in the top left of the app.
- Choose Settings.
- Select Other.
From the “Other” settings menu, you can change the default screenshots folder location and the screenshot hotkey.
Alternatively, if you’re using the Ubisoft Connect Beta, select your profile in the top left corner of the app, then choose Settings. After that, it’s the same steps as listed above!
There’s so much to explore in Star Wars Outlaws, but many still want to know if the game is coming to Xbox Game Pass!
