When is the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major? Dates, Times, and Schedule

BLAST has officially revealed the dates for the BLAST.tv Austin Counter-Strike 2 Major, which will be the first Major played in North America in more than seven years. The Austin Major will be the third since the release of CS2, but it will certainly be a historic one with the expansion of both the format and the number of invited teams.

Between the new qualifiers, the three separate Swiss stages, and of course the playoffs, there’s a lot of CS2 to watch and a lot of dates to keep in mind. Here’s our breakdown of the full schedule for the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major.

When is the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major?

The BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major itself runs from June 3, 2025 until the Sunday grand finals on June 22, 2025. Unlike in previous years, where two Swiss Stages determined the eight teams that qualify for playoffs, the Major will utilize three Swiss Stages featuring 32 different teams.

The playoffs will be held in the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, which holds a capacity of 16,223 people.

The following is the full schedule for the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major. Dates and times are susceptible to changes.

Regional Qualifiers Schedule

The regional qualifier events will determine which teams qualify to the first stage of the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major. These qualifiers will consist of the highest ranked teams (according to Valve Regional Standings) that have not already been invited to Stage 2 or Stage 3.

  • European Qualifier – April 14-17
  • Americas Qualifier – April 15-17
  • Asia-Pacific Qualifier – April 15-17

Swiss Stage 1 Schedule

Stage 1 of the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major is expected to run June 3-6. Stage 1 will consist of 16 teams from the regional qualifiers: six from Europe, six from Americas, and four from Asia-Pacific.

  • Swiss Stage 1, Round 1 and 2: June 3
  • Swiss Stage 1, Round 3: June 4
  • Swiss Stage 1, Round 4: June 5
  • Swiss Stage 1, Round 5: June 6

Swiss Stage 2 Schedule

Stage 2 of the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major is expected to run June 8-11. Stage 2 will consist of the top eight teams that advance out of Stage 1, the 7th-10th ranked Europe teams, and the 2nd-5th ranked Americas teams.

  • Swiss Stage 2, Round 1 and 2: June 8
  • Swiss Stage 2, Round 3: June 9
  • Swiss Stage 2, Round 4: June 10
  • Swiss Stage 2, Round 5: June 11

Swiss Stage 3 Schedule

Stage 3 of the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major is expected to run June 13-16. Stage 3 will consist of the top eight teams that advance out of Stage 2, the 1st-6th ranked Europe teams, the number one ranked Americas team, and the number one ranked Asia-Pacific team.

  • Swiss Stage 3, Round 1 and 2: June 13
  • Swiss Stage 3, Round 3: June 14
  • Swiss Stage 3, Round 4: June 15
  • Swiss Stage 3, Round 5: June 16

Playoffs Schedule

The playoffs of the BLAST.tv Austin CS2 Major are expected to run June 19-22. The playoffs is an eight-team single-elimination bracket, consisting of the eight teams that advance out of Stage 3.

  • Quarterfinals: June 19
  • Quarterfinals: June 20
  • Semifinals: June 21
  • Grand Finals: June 22

The expansion of the format means this should be the longest Counter-Strike Major in history, lasting nearly three weeks in total.
