Warzone Mobile’s Bot Balancing is Breaking the Game

Warzone Mobile was released globally on March 21, and from the moment it was made available, players the world over started finding issues with the game. This highly anticipated title pulled in more than 50 million pre-registrations, but when it came time to play the game, a plethora of problems surfaced, including massive instabilities on Android devices.

Recently, a new update was rolled out for Warzone Mobile, and it seems to have thrown the game’s ‘bot balancing’ algorithms into disarray, pumping lobbies full of low-intelligence bots to ‘make it easier for newcomers’.

Bad Bot Behaviour

Before Warzone Mobile was released, Activision confirmed that bots would be used to make matchmaking faster and balance the game a little better, but the result is a broken title that presents lobbies that are more bot than human. On Reddit, users are voicing their concerns, with some stating that it’s impossible to play more than one or two games before getting bored with the slew of bot-based enemies and teammates they’re being matched with.

It seems that the issue is more prevalent in the game’s multiplayer matches, but there are still plenty of bots to be found in the battle royale offering on the platform. Typically, bot characters are incredibly easy to spot, as they’ll often roam aimlessly, firing indiscriminately at enemies and doing nonsensical things – which can shatter immersion in an instant.

Have you noticed a bot-based issue in Warzone Mobile?
