Activision and Infinity Ward have officially announced the launch details for Warzone 2.
It’s been announced that Warzone 2 pre-load will start on November 14 at 10AM PT/1PM ET with the game officially going live on November 16 at 10AM PT/1PM ET.
Despite the official launch times though, Insider Gaming has learned that the servers will go live 30 minutes prior as a “soft launch”. So, keep refreshing the game at 9.30AM PT.
During Warzone 2’s launch, Activision has also announced that Warzone 1 server will be down on November 16 at 8AM PT / 11AM ET for a short duration.
It’s understood that Warzone 1 will officially be renamed to “Warzone Caldera” the game’s resurgence maps being completely removed from the game.
Warzone 2 will also launch with the games extraction-based game mode called the DMZ that will feature on the Al Mazrah map.
According to CharlieINTEL, Activision describes the DMZ as “DMZ is an open-world, narrative-focused extraction mode where squads…complete faction-based missions, take on additional side objectives, engage with enemy Operators or AI combatants, and search for valuable items, all while fighting to survive toward exfiltration.”
