Vampire Survivors Getting Huge Castlevania DLC on October 31

Poncle has revealed that a massive Castlevania-themed DLC is coming to Vampire Survivors on October 31. Titled ‘Ode to Castlevania,’ this super-sized expansion introduces more than 20 new characters, a whopping 40 weapons, and a gargantuan new stage.

The DLC was unveiled with a two-minute trailer that fused the Castlevania anime style with the Vampire Survivors character roster.

‘Guaranteed Another 10 Hours of Gameplay’

Poncle has confirmed that the upcoming Castlevania DLC is the biggest expansion they’ve ever produced for the BAFTA Award-winning Vampire Survivors, a ‘bullet hell’ game released in 2021. It’s a stunning title that has been turning heads since it launched, and earlier this year, it was finally ported to PlayStation platforms.

Here’s the trailer for Ode to Castlevania, which will be released on Android, iOS, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch on October 31:

In true Vampire Survivors fashion, the Ode to Castlevania DLC will only cost you $3.99. Poncle is well-known for producing low-cost, high-quality expansions, and this is no different.

On the poncle site, further information was revealed:

  • The DLC will be accompanied by an all-new, on-theme soundtrack
  • Ode to Castlevania is the same size as 80% of the base game
  • This DLC will have in-game achievements but no new platform achievements (Xbox Achievements, PS Trophies, etc)

It was also suggested that there might finally be a vampire in Vampire Survivors with the introduction of Ode to Castlevania. Who knows?

  • Years ago Jez Corden and others said Konami had a new Castlevania game to show it’s never been shown where is it? Is it still happening? Was it ever real? Since they’re remaking MGS they should remake Lament Of Innocence the chronological first Castlevania game also pay Eighting to make a new Bloody Roar already visually go with the cel shaded style that games like Bleach, DBZ, and Naruto have.
