Organized by GAM3RS_X and GRID, the 2024 Thunderpick World Champs will be taking place this year in Berlin, Germany. Considered an S-Tier tournament, this Counter-Strike event will feature some of the best players in the world with a massive prize pool and more.
So, let’s break down the entire tournament, including its prize pool, format, dates, teams competing and more.
Tournament Prize Pool
The official 2024 Thunderpick World Champs tournament prize pool is $850,000 USD. Here is the official tournament prize pool breakdown:
- 1st: $500,000
- 2nd: $150,000
- 3rd: $70,000
- 4th: $50,000
- 5th-8th: $20,000
How 9th-16th place will be split up is still unknown, but should be revealed within the coming weeks.

Tournament Format
The 2024 Thunderpick World Champs has a very standard Counter-Strike tournament format.

- Four double-elimination format groups.
- Each group is made up of four teams
- All matches are best-of-three.
- The top two teams from each group advance to the Playoffs.

The tournament will have 16 teams participating, some of which were invited while some qualified through either the South American Series, European Series or North American Series.
