Nintendo has announced the long-awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the name The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom!
The title has been confirmed to be released on the Nintendo Switch on May 12th, 2022.
As of June 2022, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold an estimated 27 million copies, making it the series’ best-selling Zelda game of all time.
However, the bar has been set incredibly high for the Breath of the Wild sequel with Splatoon 3 selling 3 million units in its first three days, which is double the first-week sales for Breath of the Wild.
