Terraria Reaches New Major Sales Milestone

Thirteen years after it released, Terraria has reached another major sales milestone. In a new State of the Game post on its official forum, it was announced that Terraria has sold over 58 million copies in its life span.

To be more specific, 58.7 million copies have been sold of the game. Roughly 32 million of those sales come from the PC version of the game.

“Once again, we are beyond humbled and thankful for your continued support – it is the force that drives us every day to make even more awesome Terraria experiences,” developer Re-Logic said. “I wonder what might happen when we get to sixty million…”

Reaching nearly 60 million copies sold of any game is a major accomplishment. That puts it ahead of games like Overwatch, The Witcher 3, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and more.

Re-Logic has announced plans for Terraria 2. However, information on the game has been limited aside from the plans to have it built on new engine.
