The Esports World Cup 2024 has held some of the biggest tournaments in the world for various different video games. With millions of dollars on the line, teams all over the globe competed against each other across multiple different titles. Among some of these Esports World Cup titles was ESL R1, the popular racing game.
With some of the biggest names in the ESL R1 competitive scene competing against each other, the competition stood its ground as one of the most intense tournaments in esports history.
Team Redline Takes Home $140,000 After Winning ESL R1 Esports World Cup
ESL R1 has been quite the craze lately within the esports world. The popular racing game has attracted quite a few fans and players, as racing video games have been popular for decades now.
The Esports World Cup 2024 event was not going to let racing fans down, either. With massive team names, such as G2 Esports, Team Vitality, Team Falcons and more competing, many gamers flocked to their screens to watch the competition.
Only one team, though, was able to take home the victory.
Team Redline, not only had three of their racers score within the top five but also ensured themselves as the victors with 150 points more than Team Vitality, who placed second overall.
The three competitors who placed in the top five were Sebastion Job (first), Kevin Siggy (second) and Luke Bennet (fourth). The team won $140,000 overall, with Job walking away with $25,000 in first place.

Team Vitality Places 2nd In The ESL R1 Esports World Cup
While they may have only scored half the points as Team Redline, Team Vitality was able to secure a second-place title during the ESL R1 Esports World Cup competition.
With every team having many competitions under their belts, there was never a lack of action on the race course. It will be interesting to see how games like ESL R1 progress within the esports scene, as many other larger titles take the spotlight over them.
