The Esports World Cup 2024 has officially come to an end, and one of its biggest games, Rocket League, helped close out the Sunday ceremony with its Grand Finals. With some of the biggest names competing this last week for the first-place victory, the Rocket League competition was nothing short of astounding.
Team BDS Wins Grand Finals At The Esports World Cup
In a best-of-seven competition, Team BDS managed to walk away with first place during the Esports World Cup 2024. The popular team faced off against Team Falcons, winning 4-2. While Team BDS might have won quite easily in the Grand Finals, it was a tough road to make it there.
The team had barely made it out of the Quarter Finals, defeating Spacestation Gaming by only one game, where they then won against Gen.G Gaming during the Semi-Finals by two games.
Regardless, the team had a hard-fought victory against Team Falcons, certifying themselves as the Rocket League Esports World Cup 2024 champions.
The team took home a whopping $200,000 in prizing, proving to the world that they are the best when it comes to Rocket League.

Team BDS Wins First Major Title Since 2022 RLCS World Championship
The popular Rocket League team has struggled over the past few years to take home any first-place titles, with them not making it out of the Semi-Finals during last year’s Gamers8 tournament.
The team, though, decided that enough was enough. With their last first-place title for a major tournament being back in 2022 during the RLCS World Championship, the Swiss esports team made it clear to the world that they are not to be trifled with.
Now, the question stands, will Team BDS be able to hold onto this momentum going into next year?
