It was a couple of days ago that Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, narrowed down the release window for Grand Theft Auto 6. Instead of ‘2025’, we’re now looking at a ‘Fall 2025’ launch window. In a follow-up statement, Zelnick met the community on transparent ground and acknowledged that delays can happen, but the reason the company pushed out the Fall 2025 window is because they are ‘highly confident in that timing’.
Have Faith
Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in Fall 2025, and Take-Two is highly confident it’ll hit that timeframe. It’s not expected that there will be any delays, especially considering GTA 6 has likely been in development for the better part of a decade, but never say never.
Since being revealed by Rockstar Games in December 2023, GTA 6 has dominated newsfeeds worldwide. Every tidbit of information generates more hype, with the most recent topic of discussion being the matter of who is voicing the protagonist(s). There continues to be an immense sense of anticipation around GTA 6, and that won’t dissipate until it’s in the hands of gamers everywhere.
Here’s the full interview with CNBC, in which Zelnick makes his comments about the launch window:
There are expectations that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be ‘the most important release’ in entertainment history. It’ll likely be the fastest-selling game ever made, and it’s easy to see the open-world epic pulling north of $1 billion in a single day.
