The highly talked about — and someone controversial — Stellar Blade was the best-selling gaming in the United States for April 2024. That’s according to data research firm Circana.
The company released its latest sales numbers for April 2024 (April 7 – May 4), and with it came a number of games jumping up the list. Of the 20 games, only one — Stellar Blade — was a new release.
In addition, four of the games are on the list after not appearing in March’s best-sellers. Those for games jumping into the Top 20 for the month were Sea of Thieves, which just launched on PlayStation 5 in April; Fallout 76 and Fallout 4, both jumping in popularity due to the success of Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show; and Grounded, which also released for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in April after being an Xbox exclusive.
As far as year-to-date sales, Helldivers 2 remains the best-selling game of 2024 in the United States. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Dragon’s Dogma 2, MLB: The Show 24, and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth round of the top five for the year so far.
