Steam set another concurrent players record in 2024, hitting 37,258,432 yesterday.
According to stats provided by Steam, the platform had more than 37 million concurrent players on August 25, 2024. One of the significant contributors to this growth is Game Science’s latest action RPG based on Journey to the West, Black Myth: Wukong. The game itself has broken many records, becoming the most-played single-player game on Steam within a week of its launch.
Black Myth: Wukong has made an enormous impact in the gaming world, breaking numerous records within its launch week. The developers recently announced that the game has sold 10 million units across all platforms and reached 3 million concurrent players on Steam and PlayStation. Additional data revealed that the top five games with the most concurrent players on Steam include Black Myth: Wukong, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Banana, and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Regarding the top sellers on Steam, Black Myth: Wukong is still in first place, followed by Counter-Strike 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, DOTA 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
