We may have a more refined release date window for Shattered Space, the first major expansion coming to Starfield.
According to Odahfield on Twitter, Shattered Space will release this September. A release date trailer announcing the specific date is expected to come on August 20 either during, or around, Gamescom Opening Night Live.
In addition to the release date announcement of Shattered Space, Bethesda is expected to announce the next expansion, Starborn, for release in 2025.
If the release of Starborn in 2025 is accurate, it would fall under Todd Howard’s plans for annual Starfield expansions.
“How long that continues, hopefully a very long time, but we’re planning for the one after this, so there will be another one,” he said during an interview in June.
As far as Shattered Space, full details on what that expansion will hold have yet to be revealed. All that’s known as of publishing is that it will be a new story expansion to the game.
“A mysterious power stirs in the city of Dazra on House Va’Ruun’s hidden homeworld,” its description reads. “Investigate a frightening cosmic threat, explore a new planet, and find unique weapons, spacesuits, and gear in this all-new adventure.”
