Recently, listings surfaced online suggesting that a triple-pack of STALKER games would be making their way to consoles for the first time. These listings appeared on Japanese storefronts, pointing to a $40 bundle that contains the first three STALKER games, due to release mere months before STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is set to drop.
During the recent Xbox Partner Preview showcase, the Legends of the Zone Trilogy was uncovered in full by Microsoft, and it was revealed that the bundle is available NOW on Xbox and PlayStation.
Never Before Seen
This is the first time that the STALKER series has found its way onto consoles, stepping away from the world of PC gaming and broadening its horizons immeasurably. It has been almost fifteen years since the last STALKER game was released, and in that time, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the next title – which will land on September 5.
Here’s the trailer for the new Legends of the Zone Trilogy:
It was said that the triple pack has been ‘refined’ for consoles, and the backwards compatibility elements at play do make the trilogy look pretty polished. It’s a legendary shadowdrop that post-apocalyptic gaming fans will be grateful to receive. It’s available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and via backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
